About RAD
Recognize, Accept, Do!
RAD (Recognize, Accept, Do) is a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum for young people. It is based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a form of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
The program is easy to follow and can be used individually or in a group. The concepts are easy to grasp and no prior knowledge is needed.
RAD is a universal SEL resource that is designed to promote overall well-being, as opposed to addressing specific mental health conditions. Clinicians may choose to use RAD in a therapeutic setting for specific applications, but RAD is not targeted to these environments. Rather, RAD is for everyone.
Rooted in behavioral science, RAD’s approach is flexible and effective for both those with and without mental health disorders, making it a valuable tool for improving overall mental health outcomes. In addition, RAD is focussed on helping youth do the things that matter to them that will improve their quality of life.
